    This 15-day, 8,000-km train journey isn’t just travel, it’s a life-changing entrepreneurial expedition for India’s aspiring changemakers.

What if a train ride could shape your future, not just your travel diary? That’s exactly what the Jagriti Yatra promises. Every year, 500 ambitious young minds from across India board a special train not to vacation, but to transform.

Over 15 days and nearly 8,000 kilometers, this journey takes participants through the heart of India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, connecting them with inspiring leaders, hidden stories, and untapped opportunities.

    What is Jagriti Yatra?

Jagriti Yatra is an annual train-based entrepreneurial odyssey launched with the mission of “Building India through Enterprise.” It has inspired thousands of youth to become problem-solvers and changemakers in their own communities.

This isn’t a luxury tourist train or a ₹25 joyride, as some viral posts claim. It’s a deeply immersive, merit-based journey that gives you a close-up view of India’s challenges and the people solving them.

    Journey Highlights

The Yatra begins and ends in Mumbai, covering over 8,000 km with stops in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Madurai, Odisha, and central India. The route is designed to expose participants to successful business models and social enterprises. Around 500 young people take part each year, making it one of the largest and most unique entrepreneurship programs in the world.

    Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be between 21 and 27 years of age and show a passion for entrepreneurship or social development.
There is a registration fee of ₹100 to access the application form.
If selected, participants will need to pay travel fees based on their level of scholarship, which is determined by both merit and financial need.

    Apply at: https://www.jagritiyatra.com
Last date to register: 15th October 2025
    Journey dates: 7th to 22nd November 2025

    What Makes It Special?

Participants interact with some of India’s top entrepreneurs, visit business hubs and grassroots innovators, and gain practical exposure to social and economic challenges.
They return not just with memories but with skills, a network, and the mindset to launch change in their own communities.

According to Jagriti Yatra’s official Instagram handle:

    • This is not a ₹25 tourist train
    • It is a nation-building journey focused on enterprise
    • The ₹100 fee is only for registration
    • Final travel fees vary based on the scholarship you receive

Always refer to official sources for accurate information:

If you’ve ever dreamed of discovering the real India not as a tourist, but as someone ready to shape its future Jagriti Yatra is your platform. It’s not just a journey across the map, but across mindsets, missions, and possibilities.
